The power flow problem known as load distribution is considered as one of the most important fundamental problems in the study of electrical networks. This problem has attracted researchers to find effective and adequate solutions. The use of flexible AC transmission systems ""FACTS"" is one of the most effective solutions to this problem. This work aims at presenting a detailed study that falls under the category of research that combines the use of different FACTS devices and methods of improvement or meta-heuristics optimization so that a high level of power flow improvement can be achieved. Initially, the arts state of the different works that are part of this research combination were established, then, the basic power flow equations were studied. Finally, the different FACTS devices as well as the most optimizing methods were presented. In addition, eight (08) applications were proposed, the main objective whose principal objective is to improve the power flow through FACTS devices: SSSC, SVC, STATCOM and UPFC as well as the use of optimization methods: PSO, GA and LCA that have been used to identify the weakest bus bars in the electrical systems and to find the optimal location, number and tuning of the proposed devices. On the other hand, interpretations, comments and comparative discussions were provided.Note de contenu :

In this thesis, we considered the tracking control of a class of multi-input multioutput (MIMO) nonlinear uncertain systems with faults. At the beginning, general ideas of adaptive fault-tolerant with the best researchers who worked in this field and the used techniques are presented. Based on these techniques we proposed three adaptive control schemes. The first scheme is based on backstepping and fuzzy logic systems. This scheme deals with the occurrence of actuator and sensor faults at the same time which the performances are tested on a dynamic model of a quadrotor system. The second integrates Nussbaum-type functions to overcome the control gain sign problem with time-varying and state-dependent actuator faults, the performances are tested on the dynamic of two-inverted pendulums system. The third control scheme is based on an optimal technique who is called Particle Swarm Optimization PSO. This optimal technique is used to circumvent the problem of the adaptive parameters and the initial parameters of the used fuzzy systems, a simulation stage was applied on two links-robot manipulators to prove the accuracy and the effectiveness of the proposed approach. The analysis of stability and robustness for all the proposed control schemes are performed by using the Lyapunov synthesis method with the help of Barbalat’s Lemma, and the simulation results are given to highlight its performance

Hence the interest for this type of machine, the research team which was prepared this Phd thesis wants a contribution to the improved performance in terms of average torque, torque to weight or electromagnetic characteristics for two prototype SRM 6/4 and 8/6 double salience. The approach was to first perform a comprehensive literature search of magnetic materials and their physical properties to examine their impacts on the electromagnetic characteristics and loss of MRV. This step is followed by analytical pre-sizing of the proposed prototype which allowed calculation of the geometrical parameters. The next step was to create a finite element model of the machine in saturated state using the software FEMM coupled with MATLAB in order to easily perform simulations in interactive mode.
These models and software have allowed us to analyze, on the one hand, the impact of various physical properties of magnetic materials on the electromagnetic characteristics of the SRM and calculate the losses associated according by three different methods and, on the other hand, to implement three algorithms (GA, PSO and DE) mono- and multi-objective optimization of the geometric parameters of the two prototypes considered. The results of different simulations realized in FEMM – MATLAB have been discussed and have significantly improved the average
torque and torque to weight.
This work is now continued to optimize various control parameters of the converter associated with the SRM.Diplôme : Doctorat en sciences En ligne : ../theses/electrotec/REB6910.pdf Format de la ressource électronique : Permalink : index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=10245 Etude de l’influence des paramètres géométriques et de contrôle sur les performances des MRV cylindriques [texte imprimé] / Fares Rebahi, Auteur ; Ammar Bentounsi, Directeur de thèse . - جامعة الإخوة منتوري قسنطينة, 2016 . - 173 f. ; 30 cm.
