foreign language learning. In spite of its importance, listening comprehension has received
little interest in language instruction. Most EFL learners want to imitate native speakers. One
of the most effective ways to provide real language listening practice in view of enhancing the
pronunciation level of learners is to use Audio Visual Aids in EFL classrooms. For this
purpose, a questionnaire has been elaborated and given to a sample of third year LMD
students, literatures and civilizations, Mentouri University of Constantine 1. The results of the
questionnaire have revealed that, basically, most students are unsatisfied with their rate of
exposure to audio visual aids in listening and that they would like to be exposed more. The
results have also shown that most students consider audio visual aids important for their
studies and for a better pronunciation. To compensate their lack of exposure to audio visual
aids in listening, most students listen to English individually via audio visual aids or
materials, as well as other types of materials. At last, we encourage teachers to use such
materials more frequency in oral expression so as to help learners take advantage of all the
benefits of audio visual aids.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=6288 An analysis of third-year literature and civilization students’ view about the importance of regular exposure to audio visual aids in listening ,their usefulness, and the students’ individual listening to them. Format : 30cm. Note générale : Une copie electronique PDF disponible au BUC. Langues : Français (fre) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : Learners are affected by many factors in second/foreign language learning process. The level
of cognitive development, cultural background notably, the parents’ intellectual level, and the
ability to acquire a language, can be said to be among the important factors that can affect
learners’ achievements. The purpose of this study was to assess the impact of some sociocultural variables, notably, the parents’ educational level on second-year LMD students, at
Mentouri University Constantine 1. We hypothesized that the students with educated parents
were likely to do better in their studies than those with less educated parents. To discuss all
this and check our hypothesis, a questionnaire was elaborated and given to a group of second
year students to complete. The purpose of this questionnaire was to distinguish the students
with educated parents from the others. Once this was done, it was possible to compare this
with the students’ averages of the first term. The results of the questionnaire and the students’
averages revealed that there was a significant but not very big difference between the two
groups of students. In fact, the students who lived in an educated family did slightly better
than the other students. This, in our opinion, may be due to the fact that other factors, such as
motivation and individual effort, are also important in success or failure in studiesDiplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=12407 Correlation between Learners’ Achievements and Parents’ Educational Level Case Study: English second year students, Mentouri University Constantine 1 [texte imprimé] / Borhane Eddine Chabane Benmati, Auteur ; Azddine Boulfelfel, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2016 . - 47 f. ; 30cm.

programs from English into Arabic and from English into English too. The objectives of this
research are to find out whether the students were interested in subtitling programs, and if
they noticed the mistakes when watching these English programs. The hypotheses of this
research investigate the students’ awareness of the errors that were made in these subtitles. In
order to test these hypotheses, a questionnaire and a test have been submitted to first year
Master students of English. The results of the study show that there are potential problems in
translating and noticing the errors that occurred in subtitles.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=2498 A description of subtitling errors and problems: case study, master1 applied languages students, department of foreign languages, university mentouri constantine [texte imprimé] / Lilia Dachach, Auteur ; Souheila Guidoum, Auteur ; Azddine Boulfelfel, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Mentouri Constantine, 2016 . - 69.f ; 30 cm.

Titre : Developing learners’ accuracy in writing by adopting effective feedback : The case of third-Year L.M.D students of english Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Hanane Zouaghi, Auteur ; Azddine Boulfelfel, Directeur de thèse Editeur : CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine Année de publication : 2012 Importance : 66 f. Format : 30 cm. Note générale : Une copie électronique PDF disponible en BUC Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Tags : Applied Language Studies Learners’ Accuracy Writing by Adopting Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : The present research discusses the importance feedback plays in the development of student writing. To check whether feedback is used by teachers in the appropriate way, a questionnaire has been administered to a sample of third year students of English (Applied Language Studies). The research hypothesized that if written feedback were given at an early stage, students would consider it; and, this would improve their accuracy in the final product. Moreover, if learners read more often individually, their level in writing would improve and this would, hopefully, encourage them to self-edit. The results of the questionnaire have revealed that, in general, teachers use feedback but only in the final product. This, unfortunately, is not very effective for the improvement of students’ writing. On the other hand, it has been found that students do not read individually enough; a practice, which is crucial for the development of writing skill.

Titre : First language interference in students’ writing productions : The case study of second year students of english at the university of mentouri, constantine Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Warda Laamara, Auteur ; Azddine Boulfelfel, Directeur de thèse Editeur : CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine Année de publication : 2018 Importance : 84 f. Note générale : UNE COPIE ELECTRONIQUE PDF DISPONIBLE AU BUC Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Tags : Language Interference,Writing Productions, Students Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : t
This present study is about students‟ mother tongue interference when they
write in English. It consists of two chapters. Chapter one is devoted to the theoretical
part of the research. The first section presents a review of the writing skill, its three
main known approaches, and the relation between reading and writing, introduction
of the difficulties that EFL learners face when they write, and some advice for
learners to become better at writing. The second section of research includes mainly
a review of SLA, CAH, EA, and language interference. On the other hand, the
second chapter is devoted to the analysis of our collected data. The main aim of the
study is to show students‟ problems in writing as well as to focus on the
phenomenon of transferring ideas and rules from L1 (Arabic) and its influence in
their writing productions. In order to make studens write better, we hypothesized
that both making students aware of interfering their mother tongue and reading
much will lead them to become better writers. A teachers‟ questionnaire and a test
for 2nd year graduation students from the English Department were used as our
means of research to check the validity of the hypothesis and answer the research
questions. The results show that students make errors of different types and many of
them result from the interference of Arabic on their writing in English. This results
confirms out main hypothesis. Among the recommendations some teachers have
raised and that we insistingly suggest are ways which will prompt students to read
more and more so as to diminish the impact of mother tongue interference on
students‟ writing in EnglishDiplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=9740 First language interference in students’ writing productions : The case study of second year students of english at the university of mentouri, constantine [texte imprimé] / Warda Laamara, Auteur ; Azddine Boulfelfel, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2018 . - 84 f. ; 30 cm.
