Résumé : |
Language teaching/learning is a large field which involves implementing various strategies
and approaches in order to achieve the learning objectives. Speaking as a language skill
requires students‟ and teachers‟ effort to be developed. Many factors affect Students‟ during
the speaking learning process. Therefore, using a beneficial and a resourceful strategy would
improve students‟ speaking skill. On that account, this study attempts to investigate students‟
and teachers‟ attitudes and standpoints towards the effectiveness of implementing the blended
education to develop students‟ speaking skill. This research is put forward under the
hypothesis that says if teachers considered blended learning as a beneficial approach, they
would use it to improve students‟ speaking skill. The questionnaire is the only used tool to
conduct this investigation. The researcher conducted two questionnaires; one was given to
five (05) Oral Expression teachers and another to twenty nine (29) 2nd year students at the
Department of Letters and the English Language at Fréres Mentouri University, Constantine.
The results of the analysis of the questionnaires do not confirm the hypothesis which says that
if teachers have positive standpoints towards blended learning they will use it in the
classroom. The majority of teachers do not use the blending education in their classes;
however, they clearly show that blended learning motivates students and facilitates the whole
language learning process which will eventually help students to improve their speaking skill. |
