Tenses are considered to have a great importance in learning any language. Each
time we form a sentence, we need to select the appropriate tense. If this tense is misused
our meaning will not be conveyed. In this case teachers should choose the more suitable
method to present this language structures. One advocated technique is Cooperative
Learning to assist learners in their tense system achievement. This present dissertation
aims at investigating the role of Cooperative Learning technique in improving students’
performance while using English tenses through the use of two questionnaires. The
questionnaires are given for both teachers and students, that we analyze its results. The
information gathered from teachers’ and students’ questionnaire points out that second
year LMD students performance in English tenses will be developed after working in
groups. Therefore, these results lead us to say that Cooperative Learning is really useful
for second year LMD students to master the English tense system. |
