bring forth to the teaching of literature. To ascertain this purpose, we hypothesised that if
literature teachers integrate film adaptations as a teaching procedure, students would advance
their performance. Striving to check the soundness of our hypothesis, we gathered up data
from a questionnaire and an audio-visual test, that were both administered to a sample from
second year students, in addition to a questionnaire that was directed to the sample of
literature teachers. The set of data we came by unveiled that students manifested curiosity
towards film adaptations, and their implementation by literature teachers. Half of the latter
however, exhibited their depreciation of these films. The test findings came to validate the
students’ questionnaire answers, as they lead us to conclude that the film with all the
displaying techniques, the additions incorporated and the features of the spoken language used
helped learners comprehend better. Eventually, and granting the fact that data were inadequate
for formulating adequate generalizations about teachers’ standpoints, we could arrive at
avowing the reliability and feasibility of our research hypothesisDiplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=12564 An Investigation of Film Adaptations’ Applicability to the Teaching of Literature The Case of Second Year Students of English at Constantine 1 University [texte imprimé] / Feryel Demigha, Auteur ; Yasmine Bahchachi, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2019 . - 102 f. ; 30cm.

students in the translation of English proverbs. It has been hypothesised that if students rely
on those strategies they will succeed in translating proverbs faithfully. To test the validity of
this hypothesis, a student’s questionnaire, and a test have been administered, the former aims
at collecting data about students’ opinions towards translation in general and translation of
proverbs in particular, whereas the latter which is made up of fifteen English proverbs to be
translated for the purpose of knowing the students’ strategies mostly used. The results
obtained from both tools; show that students’ level in translating proverbs is somehow
acceptable despite the difficulties they face in their translation task. They also show that the
learners tend to rely on cultural equivalence, literal translation and paraphrasing as main

Titre : Challenges and adaptation in translating children’s literature : “Alice’s adventures in wonderland” children’s fiction novel as a case study Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Amira Baira, Auteur ; Rabiaa Bouchenitfa, Auteur ; Yasmine Bahchachi, Directeur de thèse Editeur : CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine Année de publication : 2017 Importance : 85 f. Format : 30 cm. Note générale : Une copie électronique PDF disponible en BUC. Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Tags : Applied Language Studies translating Alice’s Adventures Wonderland” Children’s Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : Children’s literature is a tool for moral instruction, full of entertainment, pleasure and
humorousness. It helps to develop children’s creativity, intelligence and imagination i.e. their
cognitive skills. Furthermore it opens the door for children to identify their cultural heritage
and learn about other’s culture, expanding their knowledge and exploring other’s way of
living. When teaching the child a foreign cultural heritage, one should be very careful when
selecting which books should be given to young children because of the religious, ideological
and cultural differences. Thus Translating children’s literature was and still a hard task to
accomplish especially for such special audience because it posits various challenges to create
appropriate topics for a child to read. The present study is a review of children’s literature, the
most faced challenges when translating children's literature as well as providing some useful
methods and adaptations to help in encountering these challenges. In order to investigate these
challenges, a comparative analysis was carried out through examining two translated versions
of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. Our aim was to see to what extent the two translators
are aware of their special reader, namely Arab child, and if they are able to render the original
story’s style in a way that it does not influence the Arabs child’s ideology negatively. In
addition, a questionnaire was administrated to a sample of 29 pupils from Bousmina Tayeb
middle school, Mila. (The results obtained were analyzed and discussed). As a result of
completing the above procedures, a translator should respect the author’s style and must
create a similar style to the original as much as he can, he must consider the fact that his work
must fit his audience ideology and he should be aware of his readers interests for his work to
be desirable.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=4332 Challenges and adaptation in translating children’s literature : “Alice’s adventures in wonderland” children’s fiction novel as a case study [texte imprimé] / Amira Baira, Auteur ; Rabiaa Bouchenitfa, Auteur ; Yasmine Bahchachi, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2017 . - 85 f. ; 30 cm.

Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Tags : prepositions of place and time (in, on, at) Difficulties of Using. Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : The present study is managed to look for the difficulties that face students of English when
they are using the prepositions of place and time (in, on, at). This work is in an attempt to
identify the reasons behind the confusion among students of English in using the prepositions
of place and time (in, on, at) appropriately, and what are the problems they are facing when
they are dealing with these prepositions. Hence, we hypothesized that if second year LMD
students truly understand the right usage of prepositions (in, on, at) they will use them
appropriately. Also, we hypothesized that if second year LMD students do not know the right
usage of these prepositions; they will face difficulties and will not be able to use them
correctly. In the goal to test the validity of the hypotheses, we selected fifty second year LMD
students randomly from the Department of English at Mentouri University of Constantine. We
have chosen a test to collect the data needed. The results obtained from this test are analyzed
and the outcomes of the study prove the hypotheses. Results have shown that a large number
of second year LMD students of English face difficulties in using prepositions of place and
time (in, on, at) due to the negative transfer from the mother language. They rely on the
mother language in order to understand and use these prepositions. Also, the
misunderstanding of rules of the usage of these prepositions also occurs in the problems of
using them by second year LMD students.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=13239 Difficulties of Using the Prepositions of Place and Time (in, on, at) The Case of Second Year LMD Students of English at Mentouri University of Constantine [texte imprimé] / Ameur Madoui, Auteur ; Yasmine Bahchachi, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2020 . - 65 f. ; 30cm.

English into Arabic that face medicine students. This research focuses on the problems that
encounter medicine students and the methods they rely on to solve those obstacles in
translating the medical terms. In this research, In order to find out and identify the real
problems behind translating medical terms and how they could be approached by medicine
students, we utilized a questionnaire and a test from a sample of Algerian medicine students at
university of medicine of Constantine. The questionnaire includes a set of seven questions,
and the test contains eleven different diseases related to human body. The results have
confirmed that medicine students’ background and knowledge in English medical
terminology is insufficient due to their unawareness of the right equivalence of the terms in
Arabic and to the lack of up-to-date English/Arabic medical dictionaries.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=2386 Problems in translating medical terminology from english into arabic : The case of study medicine students at the university of medicine, constantine [texte imprimé] / Hadjer Bendjeddou, Auteur ; Selma Hebbache, Auteur ; Yasmine Bahchachi, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2016 . - 85.f ; 30.cm.
