Résumé : |
The current study aims at investigating the importance of using Social Networks in
developing EFL learners speaking skill for third year LMD students of English in Mentouri
University of Constantine 1. This study is carried out to display the impact of social networks
on education in general and on EFL speaking in particular. In order to ensure the relationship
between social networks and speaking skill, we hypothesized that EFL learners will enhance
their speaking skill if they use social networks in an appropriate way.The current study is
based on a questionnaire administered to 40 third-year students, and a classroom observation
of the same sample during Oral Expression sessions. The results reveal that the use of social
networks could help students improve their speaking skill. According to the results, it is seen
that the majority of students agree that social networks have great effects on developing EFL
learners’ speaking skill. Thus, it is clear that through the results and the conclusions reached,
our hypothesis has been confirmed. |
