Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : Language teaching/learning is a large field which involves implementing various strategies
and approaches in order to achieve the learning objectives. Speaking as a language skill
requires students‟ and teachers‟ effort to be developed. Many factors affect Students‟ during
the speaking learning process. Therefore, using a beneficial and a resourceful strategy would
improve students‟ speaking skill. On that account, this study attempts to investigate students‟
and teachers‟ attitudes and standpoints towards the effectiveness of implementing the blended
education to develop students‟ speaking skill. This research is put forward under the
hypothesis that says if teachers considered blended learning as a beneficial approach, they
would use it to improve students‟ speaking skill. The questionnaire is the only used tool to
conduct this investigation. The researcher conducted two questionnaires; one was given to
five (05) Oral Expression teachers and another to twenty nine (29) 2nd year students at the
Department of Letters and the English Language at Fréres Mentouri University, Constantine.
The results of the analysis of the questionnaires do not confirm the hypothesis which says that
if teachers have positive standpoints towards blended learning they will use it in the
classroom. The majority of teachers do not use the blending education in their classes;
however, they clearly show that blended learning motivates students and facilitates the whole
language learning process which will eventually help students to improve their speaking skill.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=13413 An Investigation of Teachers’ and Students’ Attitudes towards the Role of Blended Learning to Improve Students’ Speaking Skill The Case of Second Year Students of English at Frères Mentouri University, Constantine [texte imprimé] / Zahia Chettibi, Auteur ; Nora Boudehane, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2020 . - 113 f. ; 30cm.

Note générale : UNE COPIE ELECTRONIQUE PDF DISPONIBLE AU BUC Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Tags : Learners’ Awareness,Cooperative,Developing,Writing Performance Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : he purpose of the present research is to raise students’ awareness towards the role of cooperative
learning (CL henceforth) strategy in developing their writing performance. The underlying
hypothesis is that if second year students of English become aware enough about the importance of
cooperative learning technique, their writing performance would be developed. The educational
setting in which this study takes place is the Department of Letters and English language,
University des Frères Mentouri, Constantine. 60 students were selected randomly from a total
population of 359 second year students in addition to 17 teachers of Written Expression as
samples in the current study. In order to achieve the aim of the undertaken research, answer the
research questions and attempt to confirm that validity of the stated hypothesis, two tools are used;
namely teacher questionnaire and student questionnaire. Teacher questionnaire aims at exploring
teachers’ attitudes about their students’ awareness towards the role of cooperative learning in
developing their writing performance. Besides, student questionnaire seeks to check their stands
concerning the use of cooperative learning as a strategy used for the development of their writing
performance. The findings of the study confirm the hypothesis and indicate that learners who lack
some awareness across the significance of writing in cooperation, their consciousness is raised
towards it. Therefore, teachers are recommended to keep always raising their students’ awareness
by engaging them constantly in cooperative writing tasks and spotting some light from time to time
on the advantages of this strategy.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=9797 Raising efl learners’ awareness towards the role of cooperative learning in developing their writing performance : The case of 2nd year students at the department of letters and english [texte imprimé] / Rayen Ziad, Auteur ; Nora Boudehane, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2018 . - 113 f. ; 30 cm.

all fields. Thus, if foreign language learners want to be fluent and good speakers, they need to
use some helpful strategies. Knowing that classroom learning is not enough for language
learners, one of the important strategies used by some foreign language learners to develop
speaking skill is watching movies and series in English. The aim of the present study is to
explore the students‟ attitudes concerning watching movies and series in English as a
learning/teaching strategy and whether it helps them develop their speaking skills. Therefore,
it is hypothesized that if students have positive attitudes towards watching movies and series
in English, they would use it as a learning strategy to enhance their speaking skills. For this,
the researcher conducted one questionnaire that was given to a sample of fifteen (15) Second
year students at the Department of Letters and the English Language, Des Fréres Mnentouri
University, Constantine. The results of the analysis of the questionnaire reveal that the
majority of students agree on the fact that watching movies and series in English develops the
speaking skills and that they use it to learn the language and so develop their speaking skill
and this confirm our hypothesisDiplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=13232 Students’ Attitudes towards the Impact of Watching Movies and Series on Developing the Speaking Skill The Case of Second Year Students of English University Des Frères Mentouri, Constantine [texte imprimé] / Romeissa Merzoug, Auteur ; Nora Boudehane, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2020 . - 71 f. ; 30cm.

Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Tags : Language Sciences Teachers’ and Students Attitudes toward Positive Feedback Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : The core of our study is to shed light on one of the most important techniques in
teaching a foreign language, which is positive feedback provision to first year English
language students. Our research emphasizes its effectiveness on students’ oral
performance. This study is based on the hypothesis which states that the frequent
provision of positive feedback to first year students, could improve the students’
speaking skill. The study aims to uncover the role of teachers’ positive feedback on
students’ speaking development and to encourage teachers to provide this kind of
feedback frequently in speaking classes in order to enable students enhance their oral
production. One data gathering information tool was used in this research, which is
the questionnaire; one questionnaire was administered to Oral Expression teachers at
Constantine University, and it aimed mainly to investigate teachers’ provision of
positive feedback in first year English classes and its role in helping students improve
the speaking skill. Another questionnaire was administered to first year English
language students at the same department; it aimed at investigating how often positive
feedback is provided in speaking classes and the students’ oral performance while
receiving such kind of feedback. The results obtained from both questionnaires, have
shown that students like speaking but they struggle to perform it effectively due to
some barriers, and that positive feedback provided by their teachers motivates them
and increases their self-esteem and self-confidence to speak better. Furthermore, it
helps them to enhance their speaking skill. Such results bear out the research
hypothesis.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=4742 Teachers’ and students’ attitudes toward positive feedback provision and its role in improving students’ speaking skill : A case study of first year students, university des frères mentouri, constantine [texte imprimé] / Nedjma Messai, Auteur ; Meriem Djihal, Auteur ; Nora Boudehane, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2017 . - 76 f. ; 30 cm.

Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Tags : Classroom Interaction Oral Communicative Competence Language Learning. Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : One of the students’ main problems lies in their incapacity to carry on an integrated,
smooth communication inside the classroom. The current dissertation examines the effect of
classroom interaction in enhancing third year students of English communicative competence,
through teachers and students attitudes’. Therefore, we hypothesize that if teachers hold
positive attitudes towards classroom interaction, they would use it to enhance the students’
communicative competence. This study is based on two questionnaires distributed to both
Oral Expression teachers (10 teachers) and third year students (30 students) selected randomly
from different groups, at the department of English University Frères Mentouri Constantine 1,
to collect relevant data about the role of classroom interaction in promoting learners
communicative competence. The results of the study reveal that most of teachers and students
have positive attitudes toward using classroom interaction as significant strategy for boosting
student’s communicative competence, also teachers should have good relationship with their
students so they can feel comfortable to reduce their anxiety and involve them with different
tasks and interactive activities. Furthermore, the majority of learners believe that they need to
use the target language with teachers and with each other in order to build an effective
communication. These results bear out the research hypothesis.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=15315 Teachers and Students’ Attitudes toward using Classroom Interaction as a Technique to Enhance Students Communicative Competence The Case of third Year Students of English at University Frères Mentouri, Constantine 1 [texte imprimé] / Aya Malak Mekhloufi, Auteur ; Nora Boudehane, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2021 . - 109 f. ; 30 cm.
