Résumé :	T he purpose of this study is to have some insights about the students’ awareness toward the use of some sorts of listening techniques and materials in the language classroom to enhance their listening comprehension. Thus, our main interest is describing and analysing what the listening skills involve and showing how advanced techniques can be used as a listening input in order to develop students’ listening comprehension. To check whether there is a strong relationship between using advanced techniques and listening comprehension, we hypothesised that the more students are exposed to a more advanced techniques, the more they will develop their listening comprehension. Furthermore, this study is intended to investigate two variables: advanced techniques as the independent variable and its’ role in enhancing the listening comprehension as the dependent variable. For the data collection a t-test as well as students’ questionnaire seem to be the most appropriate tools. The test and the questionnaire will be administered to third year LMD students at the department of English, university mentouri Constantine science and language option. The results obtained are in the direction of our hypothesis which means basically that the students need these techniques for a better listening comprehension
