combination, and this might lead them to avoid this important language aspect which might
influence the quality of the language they produce. This research is a corpus analysis performed
on 60 essays written by second year students who were already initiated to phrasal verbs to
check two hypotheses: first, that students underuse phrasal verbs, which makes their language
not look native like, and second, that their L1 (Arabic) may have a certain influence that could
justify the misuse of phrasal verbs. The findings confirm the first hypothesis, but not the second.
It was found out that the participants underused phrasal verbs and that they used more often the
ones which have direct equivalents in Arabic. The data, however, did not allow for drawing any
conclusions about the influence of L1 on the production of phrasal verbs.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=4730 Collocational competence and the influence of the l1 (arabic) on the production of phrasal verbs : The case of second year license students in the department of english arts and language, university “des frères mentouri”- constantine 1 [texte imprimé] / Ahmed Redha Khemissi, Auteur ; Narimene Boufarh, Auteur ; Houda ACHILI, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2017 . - 58 f. ; 30 cm.

Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : The aim of this dissertation is to explore a reliable statistics about the frequency of the
Internet use among students; it also seeks to investigate the relationship of the frequency of
using the Internet to academic achievement in general, and to writing and speaking
particularly. It was hypothesized that the more frequent students‟ use of the internet is, the
higher is their general achievement, the lower is their writing achievement, but the higher is
their oral achievement. In order to check the validity of our assumptions, we relied on two
research instruments: firstly, a questionnaire that was addressed to twenty five (25) students
of Second Year LMD of English to know their views towards the frequency of Internet use.
Secondly, a correlational study was claimed between the participant‟s frequency of using the
Internet and their general achievement, oral achievement and writing achievement. Research
findings showed that students were actually highly positive in their beliefs about benefits and
usefulness of Internet in their studies. Besides, no relationshipof the frequency of using
internet to general achievement and oral achievement, while a weak correlation between the
frequency of using internet and writing achievement.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=11624 Correlating the Frequency of Students’ Use of the Internet to Their General Achievement, Oral Achievement, and Written Achievement The Case of Second Year Students of English [texte imprimé] / Amira Mohamed, Auteur ; Houda ACHILI, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2019 . - 58 f. ; 30cm.

Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Tags : Higher Education evaluating the teaching assessmen. Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : In Higher Education, assessment is important in identifying the learners’ needs, in measuring their
learning and progress, and evaluating the teaching methods and outcomes. The present study aims at
investigating the students’ attitudes towards assessment at the department of English at the Université
des Frères Mentouri, Constantine 1. It also aims at investigating how those attitudes are related to
their satisfaction with the assessment practices in the department, to provide teachers with insights
about the importance of explaining the criteria of assessment to their students. It was hypothesised
that: The clearer the standards of assessment are communicated to students, the more positive are
their attitudes towards the assessment practices. In order to check the validity of our hypothesis, a
questionnaire was administered to fifty second-year students of English at the department under
study to measure their attitudes towards assessment, then a correlational study was conducted to
confirm or reject our hypothesis. The results have confirmed the hypothesis. A strong correlation was
found between the variables, but the levels of understanding of assessment standards as well as that
of satisfaction with assessment practices were found to be only average. Conclusions and
recommendations are drawn on the light of these findings.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=13247 A Correlational Study Between The Students’ Level Of Understanding Of Assessment Standards And The Level Of Their Satisfaction With Assessment Practices In Their Department A Case of Second-Year English Students, Université Frères Mentouri, (Constantine1 [texte imprimé] / Fatiha Youssfi, Auteur ; Houda ACHILI, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2020 . - 74 f. ; 30cm.

Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : The present study aims at identifying the correlations between writing anxiety, time management
and managing the writing task. It also seeks to determine the common causes of writing anxiety. It
was hypothesised that: The better are the student’s time management skills, the lower is his/her
writing anxiety. The better are the student’s writing task management skills, the lower is his/her
writing anxiety. The better are the student’s time management skills, the better are his/her writing
task management skills. In order to check the validity of our hypotheses, a five-likert scale
questionnaire was conducted to second year students of English at the University of Constantine 1
to know their frequencies of using time management, managing the writing task and writing anxiety
then a correlational study was conducted to confirm or reject our hypotheses. In addition, an
analysis of the causes of writing anxiety was carried out. The results have rejected two hypotheses
which are: the better are the student’s time management skills, the lower is his writing anxiety and
the better are the student’s writing task management skills, the lower is his writing anxiety.
However it confirmed one hypothesis which is: the better are the student’s time management skills,
the better are his writing task management skills. Moreover, the major common causes of writing
anxiety were identified.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=13426 A Correlational Study Between Writing Anxiety And The Skills Of Time Management And Writing Task Management A Case Of Second Year Students Of English, Université Des Frères Mentouri, (Constantine1) [texte imprimé] / Feriel Oubekkou, Auteur ; Houda ACHILI, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2020 . - 78 f. ; 30cm.

Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : The present study aims at identifying writing strategies used by students with good
level in writing as well as the factors that help them to develop their writing skill. Using these
writing strategies can enhance learners with low level in writing. This research hypothesized
that a student with excellent level of writing implies specific writing strategies during the
whole process of writing. The research data provided was gathered through one questionnaire
distributed to 17 skillful writer English students from the English department using a
convenient method. Through the analysis of students' answers, it was proven that skillful
writers use a set of strategies to polish their writing performance. Additionally, it allowed us
to determine what strategies are used by good writersDiplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=15874 Dentifying Writing Strategies Used By Skillful Writer Students A Case Of Study Of English Students , University Of Bothers Mentouri, (Constantine1) [texte imprimé] / Alima Bousentouh, Auteur ; Houda ACHILI, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2021 . - 127 f. ; 30 cm.
