students of English aware of the necessity and the importance of using punctuation; such as,
the semicolon and the apostrophe in writing? And what are the main reasons which lead third
year students of English to make mistakes in the use of the semicolon and the apostrophe in
writing? In order to answer these questions two questionnaires were given to students and
teachers at the department of English. That is, the first questionnaire was given to a sample
population of eight teachers of written expression at the department of English in University
Constantine1. The second questionnaire was given to a sample population of forty third year
students of English at the University of Constantine1. Questionnaires‟ answers were to help
the author to know teachers‟ opinions about punctuation use and to what extent students are
aware of the importance of punctuation in writing. Moreover, third year students of English
were asked to do a test which was in a form of unpunctuated sentences that require to be
correctly punctuated by using the semicolon and the apostrophe punctuation marks where it is
necessary. The results might confirm this work hypothesis which stated that enough and
sufficient practice of punctuation marks such as the semicolon and the apostrophe inside and
outside the classroom might reduce third year students mistakes made at the level of
punctuation in writing.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=12470 Errors Made in the Use of Punctuation Marks With Emphasis on the Semicolon and the Apostrophe: Case Study Third Year Students of English [texte imprimé] / Amina Triki, Auteur ; Ali Ghiat, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2019 . - 69 f. ; 30cm.

Format : 30cm. Note générale : Une copie electronique PDF disponible au BUC. Langues : Français (fre) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : This study is an attempt to examine the relationship between classroom interaction and
fostering the students’ communicative competence in oral performance. It is worth
mentioning that many students face difficulties when they speak. This may be due to several
factors such as the absence of oral communication and interaction during lessons. Thus, the
hypothesis adopted in this research is that the implementation of classroom interaction will
help EFL students to communicate more in the classroom and, hence, develop their speaking
skill and communicative competence. This research is conducted through a descriptive
method as an appropriate way to investigate the stated hypothesis. In order to test the
hypothesis and fit the objectives of this study, questionnaires to both teachers of oral
expression and students of second year, at the University of Constantine, represent the means
of data collection. The major findings of this study assert the importance of classroom
interaction and its positive influence on the students’ oral achievement and communicative
competence.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=12293 Fostering students communicative Competence in Oral Performance Through Classroom Interaction The Case Study of Second Year LMD Students at the Departement of English Language [texte imprimé] / Sabrina Rabhi, Auteur ; Amina Oucherif, Auteur ; Ali Ghiat, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2016 . - 83 f. ; 30cm.

various aspects in education. YouTube website is regarded as one online material, which can be
integrated into traditional English lessons. It is also considered as a source of online material, which
can play a vital role in teaching and learning field. In this current research we attempt to explore the
learning strategies used by Master One Student to Learn English Language, at the Department of
Letters and English Language at the University of Frères Mentouri, Constantine. Most importantly,
we seek to investigate the effect of using YouTube, the famous sharing website as a tool of learning
English. As such, the hypothesis of this work states that if Master1English students at University of
Frère Mentouri Constantine watch regularly videos on YouTube, they will enhance their learning
positively. To answer the aims and the research hypothesis, I administered a questionnaire of a
sample forty five students, this questionnaire was divided into two sections, within the first one, I
wanted to know if the participants are familiar with different social media, and at what extent they
use YouTube whether for entertaining, or for learning. The second part was about the use of
YouTube specifically as a tool of learning. The results obtained revealed that most of the students
are familiar with different social media, which exist nowadays. All the participants answered that
they use YouTube as a new strategy to learn English language, that is to say that watching YouTube
videos for the purpose of learning help the Master1 English student at University of Frère Mentouri
Constantine to enhance their learning positively. This would be a confirmation of the above
hypothesis.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=9546 Investigating the effect of using you tube videos on learning english : The case of master one students of english at the university of frère mentouri [texte imprimé] / Sara Kedissa, Auteur ; Ali Ghiat, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2018 . - 59 f. ; 30 cm.

Format : 30cm. Note générale : Une copie electronique PDF disponible au BUC. Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Tags : self-efficacy education English speaking. Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : Self-efficacy is one of the psychological factors that have a crucial role in the learning
process. It is defined as the beliefs that a learner has in his abilities to succeed and achieve his
goals. The present study investigates the impact of self-efficacy on students’ English speaking
in the oral performances in the English department. Also, it aims at investigating the
relationship between the two variables and how self-efficacy is influenced by its important
sources of information. Besides, it examines the factors that affect students’ self-efficacy when
they speak English and how efficacious teachers play a role in enhancing students’ efficacy
beliefs and create a climate which lets the students be more confident and motivated to speak.
To carry out our work, we hypothesize that the students with high self-efficacy are the ones
who perform successfully in English in the oral classroom than students with low self-efficacy.
In order to investigate the validity of our research, two online questionnaires are designed. The
students involved in the questionnaire were chosen randomly, we have chosen the third-year
students of English at the University of Frère Mentouri, Department of Letters and English
Languages. Furthermore, English teachers of the same department were involved in the
teachers’ questionnaire in order to help us gather data about our study. These questionnaires are
administered to investigate whether self-efficacy influences students’ behavior when they
perform orally in English or it does not have any influence on them. Based on the conclusion
from our study and the results obtained, our hypothesis is confirmed.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=13873 Investigating the Influence of Self-Efficacy on Students' English Speaking in the Oral Performances The Case of Third Year Students of English at the University of Fréres Mentouri, Constantine 1 [texte imprimé] / Amira Leghrib, Auteur ; Ali Ghiat, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2020 . - 95 f. ; 30cm.
