The present study is conducted to investigate the role of multimedia E-learning
enhancing English for science and technology for Master One Students of English Applied
Language. This work examines English vocabulary for science and technology to be the main
difficulty for students when analyzing scientific texts, precisely when facing problems with
enhancing and comprehending technical vocabulary during English for science and
technology classes. The study also aims to reconsider the students’ needs of EST technical
vocabulary when reading EST texts. This is expected to help them gain benefits by enhancing
technical repertoire in the realm of their needs and motivations, whether learning or working.
Therefore, the study hypothesizes that if students of Master One Applied Language use
multimedia E-learning, they would better enhance the needed technical vocabulary. In an
attempt to do so, a sample of 20 Master One Learners from the Department of English was
randomly taken. Meanwhile, a questionnaire and a test are used as means to gather
information. The obtained results show that multimedia E-learning can really improve and
enhance the needed technical vocabulary |
