Titre : The conspiracy theory and its prevalence in the american society Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Azza Boural, Auteur ; Nasr-Eddine Megherbi, Directeur de thèse Editeur : CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine Année de publication : 2017 Importance : 100 f. Format : 30 cm. Note générale : Une copie électronique PDF disponible en BUC. Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Tags : British and American Studies Conspiracy Theory Prevalence American Society Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : This study examines the wide spread of a particular phenomenon in the U.S.A. This
phenomenon and the theory which represents the main interest of this dissertation is Conspiracy
Theory. It rejects the notion that Conspiracy Theory is a delusional way of making sense of
events, and it demonstrates that what is been understood as superficial and shallow has roots that
goes way deeper in the nation’s past. The prevalence of the Conspiracy notion, however, is
related to various factors, but three of them probably stand out most. On a social level, the U.S.A
is known for being a Salad Bowl, an amalgam of different nationalities, a trait that nurtures the
paranoia. On a political level, the sense of mission the Americans believe they are burned with
contributes in the rise of suspicion. And finally, the cultural arena with media promotion through
movies and novels penetrated the notion of conspiracy in the American mind. Still, the theory,
like any other has its adherents and its opponents. The latter tends to dismiss the notion of
conspiracy because it is perceived as distortion of historical events that can lead to great dangers.
Its adherents on the other hand, see it as a power magnet, mostly used in specific times, on
particular individuals for needed ends. Conspiracy Theory is a controversial topic that has been
the interest of various fields besides the cultural studies; from sociology and psychology, to
political science, philosophy and journalism.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=6901 The conspiracy theory and its prevalence in the american society [texte imprimé] / Azza Boural, Auteur ; Nasr-Eddine Megherbi, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2017 . - 100 f. ; 30 cm.

The 9/11
tragedy took place in the very first months of George W. Bush presidency. It brought about a
new type of threat, both on the national and the international scene. This dissertation focuses
on health problems arising from the September 11th attacks. It also studies American society
and economy, as well as, the making of U.S domestic policy in post 9/11 U.S. the concern of
this research is to examine the outcomes of these incidents on U.S citizens and the
government response in the domestic sphere. Terrorism definition, its historical background
in America, and the September 11th attacks, is the major concern of the first chapter. A
considerable portion in this chapter deals with symbolism as a central concept in these
attacks. The second chapter, however, centers on health problems and economic effects of
these assaults. The third chapter, ultimately, concerns social reaction provoked by the assaults
in addition to U.S government’s responses focusing on the domestic policy making processDiplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=6111 Research project submitted in partial fulfillment the requirments of master degree in british and american studies. Titre : Homeownership, the american dream and the housing crisis Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Houssam Aliouche, Auteur ; Ferdous Grama, Directeur de thèse Editeur : CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine Année de publication : 2017 Importance : 51 f. Format : 30 cm. Note générale : Une copie électronique PDF disponible en BUC. Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Tags : British and American Studies Homeownership American Dream. Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : The aim of this study is to examine the role of homeownership in the life of American
citizens. The main argument of this study is that homeownership is considered by most
Americans as an integral part of the American Dream. It has many socioeconomic benefits.
The American government did many efforts to expand homeownership through different
interventions. However, the result was a housing market crash where millions of Americans
lost their houses. After a decade, many Americans still believe in the American Dream of
homeownership and they are working hard to reach it. This study shows that despite the
different downturns in the housing market economics, homeownership is still considered as
part of the American dream that must be achieved for better life.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=4501 Homeownership, the american dream and the housing crisis [texte imprimé] / Houssam Aliouche, Auteur ; Ferdous Grama, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2017 . - 51 f. ; 30 cm.
