Résumé : |
T h e present dissertation is intended to investigate whether and to what extent peer
interaction affects students’ oral production. It is, also, intended to find out if teachers of
English at secondary school devote time to interactive activities in teaching the speaking skill.
Through questionnaires administered to final year students and to teachers of two high
schools at the end of the academic year 2010-2011, we intended to investigate the hypothesis
that if baccalaureate students are given more opportunities to interact with each other, the
level of their oral production will be enhanced. The results obtained from reveal that peer
interaction helps the students to perform better orally. However, even if teachers believe that
peer interaction is a good teaching method, they do not use it in teaching the speaking skill. |
