Résumé : |
The aim of this dissertation is to examine the importance of using classroom interaction in
enhancing students’ speaking skill English language classrooms. The present research paper is
an investigation of a problem faced by foreign language learners, specifically 3rd year LMD
students, when speaking by taking into consideration classroom interaction. Therefore, the
objective of this study is to confirm the following hypothesis: ‘The more teachers use
classroom interaction in their oral classes, the more proficient speakers learners will be.’ To
this end, this study is conducted on a sample of fifty (50) students who are asked to respond to
the study’s questionnaire. In addition to that, oral expression teachers are administered one
questionnaire (a sample of 7 teachers). The questionnaires cover the two variables: speaking
skill and classroom interaction and they aim at investigating the relationship between
classroom interaction and speaking skill. The results obtained show that foreign language
learners who interact with their classmates and with their teachers in the language classroom
develop their speaking proficiency. In short, we can say that the research hypothesis is
confirmed. |
