Résumé :	In learning English as a foreign language, listening comprehension is considered to be one of the key elements that requires special care from both the teachers and the students. We have noticed that the listening skill is not given adequate significance in the Department of Letters and the English Language, at University "Des Frère Mentouri" Constantine 1. The present study, which is made up of three chapters, aims at investigating if the Oral Expression teachers use authentic materials in the classroom for enhancing students' listening comprehension. Two questionnaires were administered to the Oral Expression teachers and second year students of English in the Department of Letters and the English Language, at University "Des Frère Mentouri" Constantine 1, for the sake of investigating our hypothesis which stipulates that if the Oral Expression teachers under study use authentic materials, the students' listening comprehension will increase. The results obtained through both questionnaires have revealed that using authentic materials is effective for enhancing the students' listening comprehension in English and increasing their motivation to listen to authentic language
