be one of the key elements that requires special care from both the teachers and the
students. We have noticed that the listening skill is not given adequate significance in
the Department of Letters and the English Language, at University "Des Frère
Mentouri" Constantine 1. The present study, which is made up of three chapters, aims
at investigating if the Oral Expression teachers use authentic materials in the
classroom for enhancing students' listening comprehension. Two questionnaires were
administered to the Oral Expression teachers and second year students of English in
the Department of Letters and the English Language, at University "Des Frère
Mentouri" Constantine 1, for the sake of investigating our hypothesis which stipulates
that if the Oral Expression teachers under study use authentic materials, the students'
listening comprehension will increase. The results obtained through both
questionnaires have revealed that using authentic materials is effective for enhancing
the students' listening comprehension in English and increasing their motivation to
listen to authentic languageDiplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=5010 The effect of using authentic materials on students' listening comprehension : The case of second year students at the university "des frères mentouri", constantine 1 [texte imprimé] / Khadidja Bouarata, Auteur ; Hadda Laggoune, Auteur ; Meriem Lebsir, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2017 . - 96 f. ; 30 cm.
