personality, attitudes, and behaviour, the classroom environment, and the students’
psychological state. Strictness, rigidity and monotony lead to the production of negative
feelings which hamper the learning process. This study aims at investigating the role of
humour in raising interest, increasing motivation, and enhancing learning and therefore
creating a positive and a conducive learning environment. It is hypothesized in this study that
learning would become easier and more enjoyable if humour is incorporated appropriately in
the classrooms of English as a foreign language. To confirm the stated hypothesis, two
questionnaires were used to collect data. The first questionnaire was destined to a random
sample of English language teachers, and the second one was presented to a randomly
selected 35 students of second year. Both questionnaires were administered at the Department
of Letters and English Language in the University of Constantine 1. The research findings
show that both participants, teachers and students, consider humour as a significant and an
effective motivational factor that makes learning easier and more enjoyable.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=4659 Investigating the use of humour in the efl classroom to enhance students’ learning : The case of second year lmd students of english at the university “des frères mentouri” [texte imprimé] / Riyane Baali, Auteur ; Farida Sebais, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2017 . - 85 f. ; 30 cm.

Format : 30 cm. Note générale : Une copie électronique PDF disponible en BUC. Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Tags : Language Sciences Extensive Reading Vocabulary Storage Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : The present study investigates the role of extensive reading on enhancing students’ vocabulary stocks. It also sheds some light on the students’ reading habits: their self-statement, their self- evaluation and all the behaviors they adopt when practicing extensive reading including the strategies they deploy to overcome their reading problems. The hypothesis of this research stipulates, if Third Year English students at Mentouri University Constantine 1 practice regularly extensive reading they will expand their vocabulary size. In order to confirm our hypothesis we have administered two questionnaires: one to a random selected sample of students’ adherents at the American corner at Mentouri University of Constantine, and the other to random sample of third year English students of “Language Science” at Mentouri University of Constantine. The American Corner Adherents sample has served as prototypical in our study. Both questionnaires have been analyzed and compared and the obtained results demonstrate that both samples are aware of the importance and effective role Extensive Reading has on vocabulary storage. Eventually, some pedagogical recommendations are given for the teaching of extensive reading as respected discipline bearing high status in English Language Teaching program Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=6159 The impact of extensive reading on enhancing vocabulary storage : A case of comparative study third year students of english and american corner adherents at mentouri university of constantine [texte imprimé] / Ouided Bouznada, Auteur ; Farida Sebais, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2015 . - 122 f. ; 30 cm.

Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Tags : Applied Languages Visual -Verbal Rhetoric Promoting Reading Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : The present study attempts to investigate the role of visual verbal aides in promoting students‟ reading comprehension of scientific texts. In this research, we aim to shed some light on the importance of the visual- verbal rhetoric as a strategy to gain some insights into students‟ and teachers‟ awareness about these crucial concepts. The hypothesis in this study assumes that using visual verbal aids in scientific texts enhances the learners‟ reading comprehension. To prove the validity of our hypothesis, we made use of two questionnaires administrated to both teachers and master 1 L.M.D students, in the department of English -University of Constantine 1. The finding obtained validates our hypothesis that the use of visual verbal rhetoric as a strategy improves the learners‟ reading comprehension. Furthermore, the analysis of the results provided us with valuable insights into the students‟ characteristics. Teachers show to be aware of the importance of the visual verbal relationship, and strongly agree with its intensive use when teaching ESP contexts in the Department of English Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=6447 The role of the visual -verbal rhetoric in promoting reading comprehension of scientific texts : The case of l.m.d master one students of foreign languages at bros mentouri university- constantine [texte imprimé] / Asma Guerna, Auteur ; Djihane Rayene Mezazigh, Auteur ; Farida Sebais, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2015 . - 54 f. ; 30 cm.

learning strategies and the improvment of reading comprehension elements. In this
research we aim to shed some light on the importance of vocabulary learning strategies in
the process of reading. This study is designed to examine the degree of improvement
learners can achieve in understanding a text, when they use vocabulary learning
strategies. It is hypothesized that if students make use of vocabulary learning strategies,
their reading comprehension will be improved. To achieve such an aim, we relied on two
questionnaires as a means of research. The first one was administered to a sample of ten
(10) teachers, and the second one was administered to sample of forty (40) first year
L.M.D students. The analysis of the findings reveal that both the teachers and the students
admit the beneficial use of vocabulary learning strategies for improving reading
comprehension.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=4662 Using vocabulary learning strategies to improve learners’reading comprehension : The case of first year l.m.d students of english at the university of frères mentouri, constantine [texte imprimé] / Imane Bousaboune, Auteur ; Farida Sebais, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2017 . - 79 f. ; 30 cm.
