strategies used in the translation of EST paragraphs; the scientific translation. It seeks the
reasons behind the learners‟ failure in such translation, and adopts the appropriate methods
and strategies to help them improve their translation.
The results gathered by means of questionnaires and a test confirm that learners‟ failure in
translating the scientific texts is due to their ignorance about the appropriate way to deal
with such a translation.
As a result, some pedagogical recommendations have been provided in order to help
learners to do better in the field of translation.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=3470 Learners’ Awareness about the method and the strategies used in theTranslation of EST Paragraphs: The Scientific Translatio : The case of Master one Learners in The Department of English, University [texte imprimé] / Nahla Brahimi, Auteur ; Meryem Kebbout, Auteur ; Riad Belouahem, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2011 . - 82 f. ; 30 cm.

Echorouk Algerian online newspaper in English to see if they abide by the norms of
headlines’ language. To achieve this objective, 76 sample headlines from the newspaper are
collected during a certain period of time, and a combination of quantitative and qualitative
methods are applied to identify the used linguistic features and to know their frequency of
use. Data analysis results show that there are ups and downs in the quality of Echorouk
online newspaper headlines. Although some headlines abide by most agreed upon headline
features, many lack the required characteristics of good headlines and comprise linguistic
inadequacies that need to be avoided. Most important, non-systematicness in the quality of
headlines writing prevails since, in addition to differences between headlines which are
published the same day, not all linguistic features are equally shared by all the corpusDiplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=1386 Linguistic analysis of headlines of anglophone online algerian newspapers : The case of echorouk newspaper [texte imprimé] / Fatima Zahra Ahmed Sid, Auteur ; Riad Belouahem, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : UNIVERSITE DES FRERES MENTOURI, 2014 . - 93.f ; 30cm.

Titre : Linking Devices in Effective Writing The Case of First Year Students of English at the University Frères Mentouri, Constantine 1 Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Nadjib Benkara, Auteur ; Riad Belouahem, Directeur de thèse Editeur : CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine Année de publication : 2021 Importance : 73 f. Format : 30 cm. Note générale : Une copie electronique PDF disponible au BUC. Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : This study is concerned with investigating the writing performance of First Year
students at the Department of English Language at the University of Constantine 01. It
focuses mainly on examining the relationship between the students' awareness and
success in using linking devices and their writing quality. Moreover, it attempts to
detect the students' difficulties regarding the proper semantical and grammatical use of
Linking Devices. The purpose of this research can be summed up as follows; a)
identifying the main differences between different types of linking devices, b)
investigating the reasons that make students often confuse and misuse between different
types of Linking Devices, and c) finding out whether gaining more knowledge about
Linking Devices will enhance the students' writing abilities to achieve coherent and
effective writing. Therefore, it was hypothesized that if students are provided with a
detailed, contextualized list of the different types of Linking Devices, they will develop
awareness about them, and hence, they will be able to use them effectively. In the
pursuit to achieve these aims, two research instruments were adopted: a questionnaire
and a Linking Devices test designed using Microsoft Word and administered in
classrooms concurrently to forty (40) First Year students of English, Constantine 1
University. The study's findings revealed that students use Linking Devices when they
write; however, they cannot use them appropriately and adequately due to their
restricted knowledge and understanding of these connectors, which means that the
hypothesis is confirmed. In other words, if teachers provide facilitating, detailed,
contextualized lists of Linking Devices, students will benefit from these lists and
facilitate the use of them, which contributes to enhancing their writings.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=15845 Linking Devices in Effective Writing The Case of First Year Students of English at the University Frères Mentouri, Constantine 1 [texte imprimé] / Nadjib Benkara, Auteur ; Riad Belouahem, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2021 . - 73 f. ; 30 cm.

Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : The present study aims at studying the difficulties in learning English prepositions. Thus, the
objective of the study is to extract the errors that are frequently made by Arab learners in
using English prepositions, particularly “in”, “inside”, “into” and “to”, and to investigate the
causes behind that. Error Analysis is used in this study as a way to describe and analyze the
errors made by foreign learners. Data were derived from a test answered by a randomly
selected sample of 40 students. The results revealed that the interference from the mother
tongue (Arabic) and the strategies of the target language itself (English) are major sources of
the EFL learners’ errorsDiplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=6117 Misusing such english prepositions by algerian learners, particularly:“in”, “inside”, “into” and “to” : Case study; master one students of english mentouri university-constantine [texte imprimé] / Halima Boucheriha, Auteur ; Mira Boulainine, Auteur ; Riad Belouahem, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2011 . - 104 f. ; 30 cm.

and slogans related to advertisements from English into Arabic. Further, it sheds some light on the

ignorance of the vocabulary of such a field of translation. Besides, they are not paying attention to
style which is a major prerequisite in advertisementsDiplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=6496 Problems faced by students in the translation of cosmetic advertisements : A case study: first year master students, applied language studies from constantine 1univertisty [texte imprimé] / Hadjer Boulhabel, Auteur ; Manel Boukaraa, Auteur ; Riad Belouahem, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2013 . - 73 f. ; 30 cm.
