Résumé : |
This research is a total of two chapters. It is intended to explore how technology
contriubtes to improve students’ oral communication skills. The present study is mainly
concerned with the necessity of application of multimedia technology tools in teaching and
learning a foreign language, which considerably have an impact and relation with the
development of the oral skill, it also attempts to shed some light on how it contributes to
create a potential learning environment. In this reseaech paper, our aim is to identify the
problems that students they encounter in the oral expression course and we seek to solve
them by suggesting some activities and strategies used by teachers in the classroom which
can stimulate students’ participation and consequently enhance their oral performance. The
basic hypothesis adopted in this study sets out that if the learning and teaching processes are
provided by technology materials this would contribute to the improvement of students’ oral
communication skills. This research is done by the means of one main tool which is the
questionnaire, administered for both teachers and second year students at the Department of
Letters and English Language at Mentouri University Constantine. The result of this research
shows that technology plays an effective role which can really supports the learning and
teaching processes, beside that it gives us an idea about to what extent students use
technology to learn English especially to enhance their oral abilities, and how teachers
facilitate their instruction through technology. |
