presentations as a motivating factor in improving EFL learners’ spoken English. Our main
concern is to shed light on a very dark area, oral presentations, as an effective communicative
activity, because students undervalue the effects of oral presentation on their spoken English.
Likewise, teachers consider oral presentations as a time consuming activity that should be
avoided. On the other hand, we want to focus on the problems faced by the learners whenever
they are assigned to make an oral presentation. Therefore, we hypothesise that if students are
assigned to make oral presentations, they will improve their spoken English. For that reason,
we submitted a questionnaire to fourty students belong to the English Department, Applied
Languages, and a test through which we assigned six students to make oral presentations and
we gauged their progress during three sessions. The results have revealed that in only three
sessions, students who do not usually participate and feel shy, got rid of their fears. So, oral
presentation is an effective activity that gives the students the opportunity to practise and
improve their spoken EnglisDiplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=5739 Oral presentations as a motivating factor in improving spoken english : The case of third year l.m.d students in the department of english at constantine university [texte imprimé] / Imene Chelouche, Auteur ; Rima Boudjelal, Auteur ; Ratiba Kihal, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2013 . - 88 f. ; 30 cm.

Titre : Reward as a motivating factor to enhance efl learners’ oral proficiency : The case of third year middle school pupils at khadidja middle school constantine Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Asma Belaifa, Auteur ; Jamel Benkaza, Directeur de thèse Editeur : CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine Année de publication : 2015 Importance : 99 f. Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Tags : Language Sciences Motivating Enhance EFL Oral Proficiency Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : Learning a language is a long and difficult process. Therefore, getting a skill or knowledge often requires much hard work and motivation. Motivation then is a crucial element for EFL learners’ success in speaking English. Thus the present study aims at exploring the impact of reward on the motivation of third year middle school pupils to speak English. This study is based on the hypothesis that if the teachers use reward in the classroom, pupils’ motivation to speak English will improve. In order to confirm this hypothesis we adapted a quantitative research method in which we relied on questionnaires administered to both teachers and learners. In fact the results of both tools have shown that speaking English is best achieved and reinforced by motivation. We come to the conclusion that reward is an effective motivator that enhances ELF learners’ motivation to speak in English. Finally, on the basis of these findings some pedagogical implications are suggested and we hope that they may help teachers in using reward in the classroom Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=6204 Reward as a motivating factor to enhance efl learners’ oral proficiency : The case of third year middle school pupils at khadidja middle school constantine [texte imprimé] / Asma Belaifa, Auteur ; Jamel Benkaza, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2015 . - 99 f. ; 30 cm.

Titre : The role of teachers in motivating students to improve their speaking skills : The case of second year (lmd) students of english at mentouri university-constantine Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Rayane Zeghad, Auteur ; Maroua Sayah, Auteur ; Imen Bilouk, Directeur de thèse Editeur : CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine Année de publication : 2017 Importance : 96 f. Format : 30 cm. Note générale : Une copie électronique PDF disponible en BUC. Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Tags : Language Sciences Motivating Speaking Skills Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : Speaking is a crucial skill that students are required to master when learning a foreign
language. However, speaking is not an easy skill to master, especially in a foreign language. It
is a demanding skill that requires learners to be motivated and spend much effort and time
practicing it. The current study aims to investigate the role of motivation in enhancing the
speaking skill. Therefore, we hypothesis: If teachers motivate students through using a variety
of strategies during oral English classes, learners’ speaking skill would be improved. To
validate the previous hypothesis, we adopted a descriptive methodology of investigation,
which consists of two questionnaires. The first questionnaire was administered to a sample of
fifty second year students of English at the Department of Letters and the English Language,
University of Mentouri-Constantine. The second questionnaire was administered to a sample
of fifteen Oral Expression teachers at the same department. The major findings show that the
students have difficulties in speaking the language fluently because of the lack of motivation.
Moreover, without motivation, students are less interested in practicing the language during
the oral session, implying that integrating motivational strategies is the best technique for
enhancing the students’ speaking skill.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=4828 The role of teachers in motivating students to improve their speaking skills : The case of second year (lmd) students of english at mentouri university-constantine [texte imprimé] / Rayane Zeghad, Auteur ; Maroua Sayah, Auteur ; Imen Bilouk, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2017 . - 96 f. ; 30 cm.
