Based on that, we derived the problem that students obviously face situations which do not go in harmony with their learning styles, and this leads to a deficiency in their learning process of the English language. In this research, we tried to investigate the role of learning strategies in the process of learning English and their impact on adapting students‟ learning styles in situations in which these learning styles are not addressed. We hypothesised that if students use learning strategies that correspond to their learning styles, they would learn English effectively. As a means of research, we used two questionnaires addressed to both students and teachers to check our hypothesis. The students‟ questionnaire was handed in to forty Master One students of English (Language Sciences) at the Department of English at Constantine 1 University. The teachers‟ questionnaire was given to ten teachers in the same department. The results of the questionnaires revealed that learning styles and learning strategies have a great importance in learning English, because students usually use them together when they learn English. In other words, students use learning strategies to guide their learning styles to be effective in all situations which allow them to learn English effectively. The results also revealed that learning strategies and learning styles influence each other, and that students are aware of this influence. In addition, teachers are aware of the importance of learning strategies, and that it is important for students to be able to use strategies that match their learning styles so that they can learn English efficiently. Therefore, teachers can improve their students‟ command of English by helping them develop and adopt learning strategies that match their learning styles. This innovative learning tool is specifically used to motivate and enhance students to boost their fluency and accuracy in English. Accordingly, the aim of this study is twofold: to achieve the several benefits of using podcasts that can be more efficient and effective in assisting students while learning foreign languages in general and English in particular, and to explore whether podcasts serve to improve and facilitate students‘ learning and study skills in addition to investigate the students‘ attitudes towards this material in use. The podcasts‘ impact on students‘ learning was evaluated through the qualitative method: one questionnaire has been administered to second year students at the Department of Letters and English Language at Mentouri Brothers University, in order to gather the necessary data about their attitudes towards using this strategy. The results obtained revealed that podcasts have a substantial influence on developing students‘ speaking skill and other features of learning, which means that using podcasts helps to improve students‘ learning and study skills. Hence, this research recommends taking into account the benefits of integrating podcasts in the Oral Expression module at the Department of Letters and English Language, at Mentouri Brothers University Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=6227 Developing the students speaking skill through using podcasts at second year university level [texte imprimé] / Mehdi Boubaiou, Auteur ; Insaf Bourayou, Auteur ; Linda Dakhmouche, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2015 . - 77 f. ; 30 cm.

Titre : Eliciting students’ oral performance through extrinsic motivation : Case study of first year english language students at frères mentouri university Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Meriem Arzani, Auteur ; Linda Dakhmouche, Directeur de thèse Editeur : CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine Année de publication : 2018 Importance : 87 f. Note générale : UNE COPIE ELECTRONIQUE PDF DISPONIBLE AU BUC Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Tags : Eliciting Students,Oral Performance, through Extrinsic Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : The current research aims at investigating the effectiveness of external factors
(extrinsic motives, incentives) on the learners’ oral performance in the department of
English at the University of Frères Mentouri, Constantine. The study attempts to
investigate the factors that can really push learners to be extrinsically motivated.
We hypothesise that if teachers use extrinsic motivation as a strategy in teaching the
speaking skill, learners would elicit their oral performance in the classroom. To
achieve the aim of this study and to test the hypothesis, two questionnaires were
administered to teachers of oral expression and first year students. The results
obtained from both questionnaires confirm our hypothesis; they show that both
teachers and students favour the use of external factors and believe that they are very
important for learning a second language. Accordingly, teachers are trying to
provide a comfortable atmosphere using motivating activities and feedback to help
students develop their oral production. Besides, learners are facing difficulties to
learn the English language which lead them to be less interested, even if they are
aware that the English language is important all over the world. So, they make
efforts to be motivated enough in order to develop their speaking skill.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=9809 Eliciting students’ oral performance through extrinsic motivation : Case study of first year english language students at frères mentouri university [texte imprimé] / Meriem Arzani, Auteur ; Linda Dakhmouche, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2018 . - 87 f. ; 30 cm.

Titre : Investigating the attitudes of efl teachers and learners towards the use of communicative language teaching to prove fluency. Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Adel HANACHI, Auteur ; Mohcen BEDALA, Auteur ; Linda Dakhmouche, Directeur de thèse Editeur : CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Mentouri Constantine Année de publication : 2016 Importance : 130.f Format : 30 cm Note générale : copie électronique disponible (PDF ) Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Tags : Langue Anglaise Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : This study seeks to investigate the development of the students’ speaking skill
by using the communicative language teaching approach (CLT). The main fundamental
problem of this work is that a lot of students are not able to communicate with the
target language properly. The main reason behind this problem is that many teachers use
old methods to teach the speaking skill which focus on teaching a set of grammatical
rules.
The study is based on two questionnaires addressed to Oral Expression teachers and
the other one for the first year students at the Department of English at university of
Constantine to recognize and investigate their attitudes about the speaking skill and the
communicative approach.
The information collected of this study illustrate that the communicative language
teaching is a very useful way to improve the speaking skill. Finally this study aims to
suggest some guidelines as techniques, procedures and strategies that may facilitate for
teacher the way of teaching speaking skill.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=2664 Investigating the attitudes of efl teachers and learners towards the use of communicative language teaching to prove fluency. Format : 30 cm. Note générale : Une copie electronique PDF disponible au BUC. Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Tags : Oral Expression Mother Tongue Communicative Competence. Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : Speaking is the vital mean of communication, and it is the main goal for learners to
reach. This current study aims to investigate both teachers‟ and learners‟ perceptions
towards the effect of glossophobia on third year students‟ speaking performance at the
Department of Letters and the English Language, University “Frère Mentouri” ,
Constantine 1. Thus, if EFL learners want to be competent in speaking, therefore they
need first to overcome glossophobia, i.e. the fear of public speaking. To reach this
goal, an exploratory research design was adopted. Two questionnaires were the
instrument of research, as a quantitative data collection tool; the first one was
administered online to ten (10) teachers of the Oral Expression module, and the
second questionnaire was given to fifty (50) third year students. The aim behind using
the questionnaire is to know the teachers‟ and students‟ attitudes and points of view
towards the impact of glossophobia on the learners‟ speech performance. The results
obtained have shown that glossophobia has negative effects on improving the
students‟ speaking skill. The study affirmed that the majority of learners are anxious
toward presenting a speech in front of peers and teachers, which inhibit their selfconfidence. From another perspective, teachers agreed that glossophobia affects
negatively the performance of the learners. Moreover, the results show that teachers
and students have different strategies to help in overcoming the issue of glossophobia.
Public speaking anxiety could be cured effectively; the EFL learners could overcome
this phobia, hence, improve their speaking ability which enables them to evolve in
their learning process.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=15349 INVESTIGATING THE EFFECTS OF GLOSSOPHOBIA ON ENGLISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE STUDENTS’ SPEAKING SKILL The Case of Third Year Students at the University “Frères Mentouri”, Constantine 1 [texte imprimé] / Soundous Kerrache, Auteur ; Linda Dakhmouche, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2021 . - 119 f. ; 30 cm.
