Résumé : |
This work aims to explore the effectiveness of the computer software (EZ-Speak) in helping
students learn a better pronunciation of English. For that, we hypothesized that is learners are
exposed to an effective computer-assisted pronunciation program, they would produce
language effectively. To check our hypothesis, twenty students of third year English at the
University of Constantine 1, chosen randomly for the experiment. The group was given a pretest
to determine its level in pronunciation; a post-test was established after eight weeks to
compare the results of the two tests. The findings raveled that that the software designed for
the purpose of the study has been effective in the development of the pronunciation skill for
third year English students at the University of Constantine 1. According to the results, we
can say that our hypothesis has been, to some extent, confirmed (H1). |

Language Sciences MEANS ENHANCING LEARNERS’ WRITTEN |
Index. décimale : |
420 Langue anglaise |
Résumé : |
Learning a foreign language is a really hard task for everyone. To have an education in a foreign language is even harder. To be able to read, understand a language, speak it fluently and write it without errors takes a lot of time and great efforts. The latter skill is really complex to be acquired because it has to be formal. For that, many students find it difficult to produce an adequate piece of writing. In this research work, we aim to make students think about the adequate techniques of improving their writing since it is needed when undertaking written researches. Such techniques the students follow in order to decide about what to write, how to write, and how to produce effective well-presented projects can be facilitated by the use of ICT tools. On the basis of a questionnaire that gave third year students from the Department of Languages at Mentouri-University Constantine the opportunity to answer and explain what they experienced when writing projects, we investigated the validity of our hypothesis. The findings gathered in this study confirmed the set hypothesis. With the help of ICT tools, students can avoid problems they face when they write their projects and researches, for that an effective production can be achieved. |
