Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Tags : VApplied Language Studies ocabulary Games Learning Enhancing Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : Learning English vocabulary is a basic and very important part in learning a given language. Indeed, it is crucial in the learning of the four skills of language namely speaking, writing, listening and reading. Therefore, the lack of vocabulary will definitely cause several problems to EFL learners in their quest to acquire English. The research work aims at shedding light on the effectiveness of using games as a technique for learning to improve First Year in the department of English Languages and their knowledge of English vocabulary items. Therefore, it is hypothesized that if teachers rely on using language games in their teaching, the students' vocabulary acquisition will be facilitated. To verify the hypothesis, we use two means of tools: a questionnaire administered to twenty six 1st year EFL students at Mentouri Brothers University, Constantine and a classroom observation. The results obtained from both means of research confirmed the hypothesis. They showed students’ awareness of the educational value of learning vocabulary through games. The findings also revealed how learners can acquire more vocabulary easily. Therefore, it is worth to conclude that games integrated as a teaching material since they generate an adequate environment for vocabulary acquisition and thus would facilitate comprehension and communication. Titre : Teachers’ and students’ attitudes towards the use of oral presentation for enhancing students’ speaking skill : The case of second year students of english at university “des frères mentouri”, constantine Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Faiza Guechi, Auteur ; Houda Reguig, Auteur ; Fatima-Zohra Semakdji, Directeur de thèse Editeur : CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine Année de publication : 2017 Importance : 85 f. Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Tags : Language Sciences Teachers Students Presentation Enhancing Speaking Skill Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : Speaking is a difficult task to learn, so students are required to practise this skill as much as
possible to enhance their spoken proficiency. The present research work aims to investigate
the teachers’ and the students’ attitudes towards the use of oral presentation as a technique for
improving students’ speaking skill. Another aspect of our study is to find out about the extent
to which oral presentation was implemented in the Oral Expression class. In the light of the
previously mentioned aims, it was hypothesized that if students were taught speaking by
means of oral presentation, their speaking skill would improve. In order to check out our
hypothesis we used two questionnaires: one is for 10 teachers of Oral Expression at the
Department of Letters and English Language, Faculty of Letters and Languages, University
“Des Frères Mentouri”, Constantine, while the other questionnaire is for 40 second year
students at the Department of Letters and English Language, Faculty of Letters and
Languages, University “Des Frères Mentouri”, Constantine. The analysis of the data collected
has shown that the majority of the teachers as well as the students hold positive attitudes
towards the use of oral presentation as a technique for enhancing students’ spoken
proficiency. On the basis of the findings, we could confirm our hypothesis. In the end, it is
crucial that teachers and students assign adequate importance to the preparation and
organization of such activity type (oral presentation).Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=4811 Teachers’ and students’ attitudes towards the use of oral presentation for enhancing students’ speaking skill : The case of second year students of english at university “des frères mentouri”, constantine [texte imprimé] / Faiza Guechi, Auteur ; Houda Reguig, Auteur ; Fatima-Zohra Semakdji, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2017 . - 85 f. ; 30 cm.

students’ speaking and writing skills in EFL classes. It attempts to shed light on the
importance of establishing project work as an attempt to motivate learners to use the English
language. It also attempts to make use of project work to improve learners’oral and written
performance . The present study is based on one main hypothesis stating that if teachers use
project work in EFL classes to develop students’ speaking and writing skills ; then learners
will use English spontaneously and their speaking and writing skills will be enhanced. The
method of this research is descriptive. That is, it aims to describe two aspects: project work as
the independent variable, and its benefits in developing learners’ speaking and writing skills
as the dependent variable. To carry out this research and confirm our hypothesis, we
administered two questionnaires, one for second year LMD students and another one for
teachers in the English Department of FrèresMentouri University during the academic year
(2015-2016). The findings from this research provide evidence that project work is the right
technique for developing students’ oral and written production. The main conclusion drawn
from this study has shown that using project work help second year LMD students in
developing their speaking and writing skills.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=4540 The effect of project work on enhancing students’ speaking and writing skills : A case study of second year lmd students of english at the university of constantine [texte imprimé] / Safia Mostephaoui, Auteur ; Nour Belhacene, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2017 . - 91 f. ; 30 cm.

Format : 30 cm. Note générale : Une copie électronique PDF disponible en BUC. Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Tags : Language Science Using Authentic Enhancing Speaking Skills Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : The present study examines the relationship between using authentic materials and the improvement
of speaking skill for foreign learners, which are considered as a new meth in teaching the oral skill.
This study aims at investigating the effectiveness of using authentic materials in enhancing the
students’ speaking skills. Therefore, we hypothesize that teaching the speaking skill through
authentic materials in foreign language classes will enhance students’ oral proficiency. To validate
the previous hypothesis, we used two questionnaires. The first questionnaire was administered to a
sample of 54 out of 344 students of second year LMD at the Department of Letters and English
Language University of “FréreMentouri” Constantine; the second one is given to 15 teachers of
Oral Expression at the same Department to get information about the impact of using authentic
materials in Oral Expression module in developing the students’ speaking skills. After the analysis
of the data collected from the two questionnaires, the results reveal that both learners and teachers
consider authentic materials as an important teaching aid, for they facilitate the teaching process by
increasing the learners’ language use which leads to improve their speaking skill. On the basis of
the results obtained, some recommendations have been proposed to help students overcome their
difficulties in order to improve their speaking skill, and others to guide teachers to effectively
implement this technique while teaching the oral skills.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=4647 The effectiveness of using authentic materials in enhancing the students’ speaking skills : The case of third year lmd students of english at fréres mentouri university,Constantine [texte imprimé] / Nada Boulcherab, Auteur ; Asma Boumegoura, Auteur ; Imen Bilouk, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2017 . - 81 f. ; 30 cm.
