From these plants were isolated 7 new flavonoids the structures of which were determined byspectroscopic techniques (UV, 1H-RMN, 13C-RMN).
The Biological study involves the antimicrobial activities of butanol extract and two of the isolated flavonoids from Tamarix gallica and the antiradical activity of the extracts as well as four isolated compounds.
The corrosion inhibition effect of Limonium thouinii ethyl acetate extract on C steel in 1 M HCl by has been investigated using weight loss, potentiodynamic polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy measurements.

The phytochemical study of the chloroform extract, of aerial parts of Crysanthemum segetum has allowed us to isolate and identify seven compounds, three polyacetylenes, a flavonoid, two sterols and an aromatic ester. Six of them were isolated for the first time from this species.
Analysis of ethyl acetate and n-butanol extracts of Chrysanthemum segetum by the UHPLCMS technique enabled us to propose the molecular structures of twenty-seven phenolic compounds present in these extracts, the major part of these compounds are flavonoids and coumarins.
In the phytochemical study of ethyl acetate and n-butanol extracts of Limonium pruinosum species, five compounds were identified: two flavonoids, an aromatic ester, a cyclitol and a methylglucoside. These compounds have been described for the first time in this species.
The structures of the compounds have been elucidated mainly by the use of spectroscopic techniques, NMR 1-D and 2-D, UV-Vis, mass spectrometry and comparison with literature data.
In the biological part of our work, the antioxidant capacity of ethyl acetate extract and the flavonoids isolated of Limonium pruinosum species was evaluated in vitro by DPPH test, the ethyl acetate extract showed an interesting antioxidant activity compared to standard.
The antioxidant activities of crude extracts of Chrysanthemum segetum species were evaluated by using two methods, DPPH radical scavenging activity and the CUPRAC method, the results showed that the ethyl acetate extract had the highest activity compared to the other extracts tested.Diplôme : Doctorat en sciences En ligne : ../theses/chimie/KEN7010.pdf Format de la ressource électronique : Permalink : index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=10378 Etude phytochimique et biologique des espèces Chrysanthemum segetum L. to the Fabaceae family, and antioxidant activity of the butanolic phase of the two species.
Different methods of extraction, separation and purification of the aerial parts of the two species, led to the isolation of 13 products.
Three isoflavones are new for the species, from which two are mjor , have been isolated from Genista aspalathoides ssp. Aspalathoides.
Ten products are new for the species, from which two are new for the first time from a natural source, two are major, have been isolated from Limonium duriusculium ( de Girard ) Kuntze.
.Structures of those subtances we re established by diffent spectroscopic methods : mass spectrometry , UV ,1H NMR , 13C NMR and 2D NMR experiments (COSY , HSQC , HMBC , REOSY).
The resutats of the test on the antioxidant activity were satisfactory. This work is crowned by two publications in two international reviews.
