If we add two more hours per week, learners’ proficiency and motivation will likely improve. So to validate and prove the
efficiency of suggested activities and techniques, an experiment has been designed to collect data about the pupils’ outcomes in an experimental and a control group.
Moreover, a set of activities has been proposed to consolidate the effectiveness of the new method over the conventional one. Results of both groups of the experiment revealed that the method under investigation proved to be successful in enriching pupils’ vocabulary stock linked to the theme of the unit than does the conventional method provided in the first year textbook, which confirms our hypothesis. Results also shed light on the unconscious improvement of strategy use, by the pupils in
acquiring a new vocabulary. Pupils seek clarification, ask for synonyms, look for definitions in the dictionary and take notes. Français Résumé : After observing the handicaps that stands in the process of teaching / learning of French in the Algerian learners fifth grade, who are new to the language while they lack a sufficient background that lexical allows them to apply their knowledge in works in real communication situations. Face communication situations they are faced with a considerable lack in vocabulary to understand or speak while remaining passive and inert. Interested in the place of vocabulary in the teaching / learning of French, our hypothesis is that the process of teaching / learning vocabulary adopted in the 5th grade class allows the acquisition of this important language. We first recalled some basic concepts related to vocabulary, then we explained the process of teaching / learning it. We then analyzed during and vocabulary exercises in the official program of the 5th grade. We observed at the end of sessions during vocabulary with teachers and students of the fifth year. Finally, we conducted a comparative analysis of the results of the proposed assessment to students. This approach has led us to conclude that the process of teaching / learning vocabulary adopted in 5th year class allows more or less satisfactory control of this part of the language, which is considered as the gateway through which the initiation any living language. evolution of the vocabulary of the author from a statistical point of view. To do
this, it implements the techniques of lexical statistics by using the lexicometry
Hyperbase software. The analysis corpus contains the complete texts of the author.
It’s characterized by a generic diversity. It includes books, articles and other texts.
The analysis reveals a chronological evolution of the vocabulary. As political
projects, ideas and ideology, Ferhat Abbas's discourse is a changing and
progressive discourse that does not resist the constraints imposed by the
