Biologie Résumé : The present study focuses on the biological, physiological and biochemical behavior of the cultivated olive tree, Olea europaea L., represented by four varieties sampled at the Maazouzi Lakhdar station, Mila: Sigoise, Rougette, Chemlel and Dathier. The morphological characterizations (quantitative and qualitative), relating to the leaves, fruits and cores, described in the descriptors of the International Olive Council (IOC, 2003), revealed differences between the varieties. The set of morphological traits assessed during the three years of study (2013-2014- 2015) revealed a significant difference between the varieties studied confirmed by coefficients of
variation ranging from 2.81% to 39.14%. Positive correlations between mean precipitation, duration of insolations and morphological characters ranged from r = 0.839 to 0.946, and negative for fruit width and nuclei with temperature.
The results of the analysis of the biochemical characterization data revealed a great difference between the varieties. The most important lipid content was recorded in Sigoise leaf and fruit, Rougette gave the best sugar content in the leaves, as well as in Chemlel fruits. The qualitative analysis performed by phytochemical screening revealed the presence of several families of natural compounds in both organs. Rougette has been the dominant variety for total leaf and fruit phenol and flavonoid content, and Dathier for tannins. Quantitative analyzes of the phenolic compounds identified in the hydromethanol extracts by HPLC identified four
compounds: fumaric acid, gallic acid, oleuropein and caffeic acid, seven compounds in the leaves: fumaric acid, gallic acid, oleuropein, 4-hydroxybenzoic acid acid, caffeic acid, ellagic acid and t-3 hydroxyroamic acid, with a significant dominance of Oleuropein.
The evaluation of the biological potential of leaf and fruit extracts, revealed a significant anticoagulant activity in Chemlel for both organs and an antioxidant power of interest in Rougette leaves and Sigois fruits. All extracts have an important antibacterial power, extracts of leaf at Rougette gave a better zone of inhibition against S. aureus.

atlantica Desf. and Ferula vesceritensis Coss. & Dur. The GC and GC-MS analyses
showed that the essential oils of P. atlantica are rich in α-pinene, limonene and spatulenol,
while β-phellandrene, α-terpinene, β-elemene, γ-gurjunene and germacrene-B were found
as major components, for the first time for the essential oils of the genus Pistacia .
α-Pinene and β- pinene were predominant in the essential oils of Ferula vesceritensis;
however the first time that α-phellandrene, fenchylacetate, elixene, l'aristolene and cartol
were found as main components in the essential oils of the genus Ferula . The both essential
oils of P. atlantica . and F. vesceritensis exhibited a good antibacterial activity against
clinical isolated bacteria and food borne pathogens. The essential oils of P. atlantica
possess an important antioxidant effect which were determined using β-carotene-linoleic
acid, DPPH- and ABTS•+ -scavenging activities, metal chelating effect and CUPRAC
assays. The essential oils showed a moderate anticholinestérase activity compared with
galantamin for the inhibitory activity of principal enzymes of Alzheimer’s disease AChE
and BChE.
In a second part, we synthesized 12 new piperidine derivatives, which have been achieved
through [Cp*Ru]-catalyzed intermolecular coupling of allylic alcohols and propargylic
amides with water as the only side product, and demonstrated that the selective
oxidativecoupling cinnamyl alcohol derivatives and 2-substituted allylic alcohols. This
methodology allows the access to 3,4- and 3,5-disubstituted enamides as valuable
scaffolds for the preparation of 3-methylpiperidine derivatives through selective [Cp*Ru]

In agreement with this characteristic, our works of extraction and isolation of flavonoids of Santolina rosmarinifolia L. specie (Asteraceae), collected from Batna, led to 3 methoxylated
aglycone flavones, eupatilin, jaceosidin and salvigenin together with luteolin and a flavonol, quercetin and 7-O-glugoside derivatives of the latters.
The butanolic extract showed an excellent antioxidant activity by the use of the DPPH.
In another hand, the essential oils obtained by hydrodistillation of Santolina rosmarinifolia L., Mentha piperita, Artemisia herba-alba, Ferula communis, F. lutea and Senecio giganteus species have been analyzed by GC and GC/MS.
The essential oil of Santolina rosmarinifolia L. showed the best antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli ATCC, Escherichia coli HS, and Enterobacter sp. strains. The essential oil of dry aerial part of Mentha piperita inhibited more strongly the growth of Escherichia coli ATCC and Streptococcus sp. strains. - 203 f. ; 30 cm.

The study of the alkaloid profile of G. quadriflora by GC/EIMS allowed the identification of twenty compounds, among which ten are newly registered for the genus. We indicate the presence of:
• Thirteen quinolizidine alkaloids
• Five piperidine alkaloids
• One nicotinic alkaloid, in addition to a nicotinic acid derivative.
The investigation of the G. quadriflora essential oil has lead to the identification of 222 compounds,of which 197 are reported for the first time in the genus. This oil is mainly composed of terpenoids(66.85%) with a prevalence of sesquiterpenoids (65.18%). The major compounds are cited as:
• Salvial-4 (14) - in-1-one; germacra-4 (15), 5, 10 (14) - trien-1-α-ol; amorpha-4, 9-dien-2-
ol; muurolan-4, 7-peroxide.
Also, twenty two compounds (caffeoylquinic acids, flavonoids, coumarin, phenol acid) were isolated from C. tricolor and G. quadriflora. All these compounds are reported for the first time in the studied species. The structural determination was carried out by mass spectrometry in electronic impact EIMS, by electrospray ESIMS, by high-resolution mass spectrometry HRMS, by time of flight HR-TOFMS, and by mass spectrometry high-resolution tandem MSn. In addition, we used NMR-1D and 2D spectroscopy.
The second part of our work was an in vitro evaluation of the biological activities such as:
• antileishmanial activity, antimalarial activity, antifungal and antibacterial activities, antioxidant activity against the DPPH, and the activity towards the enzyme acetylcholinesterase.
The various tests carried out during this work have leads to tracks quite interesting especially for:
• Samples of Convolvulus tricolor with inhibitions of the parasitic activity going from 89 to 99% by quite low rates of toxicity indicating their good selective activity on the parasites.
• The alkaloids extract resulting from the air parts of Genista quadriflora for which the bacteria type Pseudomonas aeruginosa had a very particular sensitivity.

Maire. (Fabaceae). Separation and purification of the ethyl acetate and the n- butanol fractions led to the isolation of six compounds (four flavonoids including two
triglycosyles, a saponin and a cyclitol). The structural elucidation of these compounds was determined using modern spectroscopic methods including ultraviolet spectroscopy UV, nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR) mono and bidimensional (1H, 13C, COSY, HSQC, HMBC and TOCSY) and with comparison with literature data.
The chloroform fraction exhibited the best antibacterial activity against E. coli, S. aureus and P. aeruginosa, while the ethyl acetate fraction showed the highest antioxidant activity by the use of DPPH, ABTS, CUPRAC and metal chelate methods. Furthermore, the evaluation of the immunomodulatory activity of the n-butanol fraction with Biozzi method showed that the butanolic fraction improved the phagocytic activity by stimulating the reticuloendothelial system.
In the second part, the synthesis of 12 new derivatives julolidines was carried out by hydrogen transfer process. The first transformation allowed the formation of julolidines by NC (sp2)-cyclisation of tetrahydroquinoline and propan-1,3-diols. Applying another hydrogen autotransfer process, the prepared julolidines were easily
functionalized at the C2 position in green conditions with the formation of water as the only by-product. The activation of C9 was also achived. The preparation of three new iridium catalysts was performed.
The structures of the synthesized compounds were mainly established by the use of NMR techniques (1H, 13C and DEPT), by high resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS) and by X-rays.
