Ficus carica L. is one of the first fruit species cultivated in the world, this species underwent a morphological and agronomical evolution leading to an extensive diversit and to two distinct morphotypes according to the use of figs (fresh and dry). This aims of this study were to make a morphological, biochemical and molecular characterization of cultivars tested. The results were proved an important phenotypic variability of the fig heritage according to the descriptors of IPGRI (International Plant Genetic Resources Institute) and CIHEAM (Centre International de Hautes Etudes Agronomiques Méditerranéennes) (2003). Morphological study has shown that the fruit characters appear to be more discriminating than those of the leaf. The biochemical study of cultivars tested by characterized them with phytochemical screening and evaluating their antimicrobial activities. The preliminary evaluation of the phytochemical composition of the different treated parts made it possible to highlight the presence of some chemical groups. We have shown that aqueous methanol is the best extractor of secondary metabolites. The in vitro evaluation of the antibacterial activity of the methanolic extract of F.carica leaves showed a high antibacterial activity towards Kleibseilla and E. coli and extracts obtained from fruits of F.carica were inactive towards all tested bacterial strains. Similarly, a tendency was shown indicating that the richest extracts on flavonoids exhibit the higher antibacterial activities. Molecular analysis of the genetic diversity of Algerian and Turkish fig trees based on twenty three pairs of iBPS primers and sixteen pairs of SSR primers allowed us to count a total of 63 amplified DNA fragments for iPBS markers and 25 Alleles for SSR markers were identified with an average of 2.7 and 1.6 per primer, respectively. The average value of the polymorphic information content (PIC) for the iPBS markers (0.73) was higher than that of the SSR markers (0.69). Applying the neighbor-joining method to the combined iPBSretrotransposon and SSR data, the fig genotypes were clustered into two groups. We were able to highlight the diversity within the collection as well as the rapprochement between the Algerian and Turkish pool. Therefore, this study opens great prospects for the integration of these genetic resources and their appropriate use in new breeding programs for fig trees in countries like Algeria for their optimized management. Moreover, the fig tree, with its multiple roles of valorization of the agricultural lands and fight against the erosion, of the fixation of the populations in the arid zones, constitutes the main fruit speculation which can guarantee the sustainable development of these zones and the creation of a productive and sustainable agro-system.Note de contenu : Annexe. This work has been devoted to the design and characterization of some new heterocyclic nitrogen and sulfur donor ligands derived from quinoline, benz-imidazole and benzothiazole, as well as their coordination complexes. The evaluation of their antibacterial and antioxidant activity was also discussed. The 2-(1H-benzo[d]imidazol-2-yl) quinoline (BQ), 2-(((1-methyl-1H-imidazol-2- ylmethyl)sulfanyl)methyl)-1H-benzo[d]ligands imidazole (MIMTMB), 2-(((1-methyl-1Himidazol- 2-yl)methyl)sulfanyl)benzo[d]thiazole (MIMTBT), as well as two other ligands previously prepared in the laboratory: The bis((1H-benzo[d]imidazol-2-yl)methyl) sulfane (BBMS) and 2-((1H-benzo[d]imidazol-2-yl)methylthio)-1H-benzo[d]imidazole (BTMB) react with the chlorides of cobalt (II), zinc (II), manganese (II), mercury (II), lead (II), copper (II), and cadmium (II) to lead to coordination complexes. The structures of the ligands and their complexes have been elucidated by IR spectroscopy, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, UV-visible, elemental analysis and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The structural characterization by RX revealed the complex environment and the stability of the crystal structure by hydrogen bonds and π-π interactions. Theoretical calculations for some complexes were made to understand the geometry and the electronic structure of some compounds. As well as thermogravimetric analyzes that have been performed on some compounds to better understand their behavior and thermal stability. The antibacterial activity of certain ligands and complexes was evaluated against three strains: Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. As well as an evaluation of their antioxidant activity (DPPH test).Note de contenu :

The synthetic food conservatives are limited in several countries, because of their undesirable effects on health. Moreover, the current trend of the consumers seeks a more natural food increased during these last decades. Several research tasks have concentrated on the essential oils extracted from the aromatic plants. The various results published have indicated that they are endowed with several biological properties. In this context, we tried to evaluate antioxidant, antibacterial and
antifungal activities of essential oil extracted from Foeniculum vulgare Mill. seeds.
The extraction was carried out by water distillation Clevenger’s type apparatus, the yield was 0.79±0.02%. The evaluation of the antiradical activity of the fennel seeds essential oil was evaluated by the reduction of the DPPH• method. The EC50 (efficiencies’ concentration) obtained is 752.65±32.5µg.ml-1. The fennel seeds essential oil shows also a very interesting antioxidant activity (81.74± 3.92%) by the of β-Carotene bleaching method. Diffusion Method has demonstrated that the fennel seeds essential oil has a feeble antibacterial activity. Minimum inhibitory concentrations (MIC) and minimum bactericidal concentration (MBC) are estimated by agar dilution method, the MIC obtained are included between 20 000 and 45 000 µg.ml-1, the MBC proved also raised. The antifungal activities of the essential oil against fungi were undertaken using inverted petriplate. The results obtained indicate that the fennel seeds essential oil has strong activity. Minimum fongistatic concentrations (MFCS), and minimum fungicidal concentration (MFCC) were estimated by broth dilution method, the MFCS obtained are included between 625 and 1250µg.ml-1, the MFCC obtained is 1250µg.ml-1. The antifungal index (AI50) were estimated, the Alternaria was
most sensitive where his AI50 was 26.22±0,693µg.ml-1. With the rise of this study, we can conclude that the fennel seeds essential oil could be regarded as a very promising preservative for food industry able to prevent the oxidation of food and to reduce growth in of deterioration of food and producing mycotoxins mycelial.Note de contenu :

Biologie Résumé : The purpose of our work has focused on the study of Teucrium polium L. Capitatum, which is a widespread medicinal plant in algerian steppes. Several study topics were investigated such as the morphology, physio-biochemical constituents and biological effects.
The morphological analysis consisted of ten populations sampled at different habitats in eastern Algeria. This study revealed that the leaves have the lowest number (five out of ten) of types of trichomes, followed by the calyx and corolla with eight types for each. This confirms the absence of intraspecific variability within the study populations. Furthermore, the analysis of relationships between morphological characteristics and environmental factors of their habitat showed that the latter influences the length of trichomes.
The use of one-dimensional electrophoresis technique on polyacrylamide gel in the presence of detergent (SDS-PAGE) allowed to determine the total protein profiles of the ten study populations. The similarity coefficients of polypeptide bands indicated high similarity between populations.
Biochemical analyzes of the three phenotypes of T. polium L. Capitatum showed that extracts of purple phenotypes were richest in anthocyanins, soluble sugars and carotenoids compared with pink and white phenotypes enlightening there by the importance of flower color.
The combination of certain chemical analysis methods, spectrophotometry (UV-visible) and chromatographic (HPLC) have identified three flavonoids including mostly the cyanidin and two other flavonoids, quercetin and caffeic acid.
The evaluation of the antioxidant potency, that was conducted using the method of trapping the free radical DPPH and that of iron reduction FRAP, revealed that the extract of Biskra population showed higher reducing capacity compared to that of Sétif, with a strong trapping of DPPH● radicals.
As regards to the antibacterial activity, it appears that extracts from two populations have acceptable antibacterial properties.
The pharmacological effect of T. polium L. Capitatum showed an interesting diuretic property.
