classrooms. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between students' use
of technology and their oral performance. The fundamental theory embraced in that work
involves that Technology motivates students and the different devices used improve their
fluency, accuracy and let them feel at ease and give them broad mastery over the language use
and speaking performance. To check our hypothesis that states that: “The more students use
information technology devices ,the better their oral performance” ,two research tools: a scale
and a speaking exam were administered for first year students in the Department of English at
Mentouri University of Constantine. The practical result of the research gives an analysis of
the data collected and an argumentation of the major outcomes. Furthermore, some
propositions and references were provided to help in realizing an effective application of
technology to present a comfortable environment and to improve the students' involvement in
the classroom.

Format : 30 cm. Note générale : Une copie électronique PDF disponible en BUC. Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Tags : Applied Language Studies Technology Teaching Assisted Language Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : This dissertation, a total of two chapters, is intended to investigate Computer Assisted Language Learning as a method that is used to motivate students to perform better orally, in order to develop their speaking skills. In this study, we aim at exploring the different employments of Information and Communication Technologies in teaching languages, with a main focus on Computer Assisted Language Learning and the technologies in the heading of Multimedia, that are directly in line with the development of oral communication skills. More particularly, this research aims at shedding light on the importance of CALL to serve and create an interactive, communicative and collaborative authentic environment in oral expression classrooms, which in turn, serve for motivating students to develop their oral skills.
It is by means of two questionnaires administered to both teachers and second year students at the Department of Foreign Languages at Mentouri University Constantine that we investigated our hypothesis which looks into students’ motivation and their oral performance development in a Computer Assisted Language Learning environment.
The results of the present study show that Computer Assisted Language Learning is motivational and helps the learners to perform better orally, which means that there is a positive correlation between themDiplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=6694 Investing technology in teaching languages: the impact of computer assisted language learning (call) on developing the oral communication skill of english language learners : The case of second year lmd students of english [texte imprimé] / Samir Benaskeur, Auteur ; Harouni Zahri, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2012 . - 60 f. ; 30 cm.

Format : 30 cm Note générale : Une copie électronique PDF disponible en Bus Langues : Français (fre) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Tags : Language Studies Text-analysis Achieve Objectivity Writings Science Technology Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : The present research in three chapters seeks at investigating whether third year students in the Department of Letters and English Language are capable to write objectively E.S.T writings, and also to check if analysing texts in the same register will be helpful for them. Hence, we hypothesized that if third year students at the Department of Letters and English Language are aware of how to analyze texts of science and technology, their writing in such a register will be informative and objective. To test our hypothesis we have used a test (pretest and posttest). The results obtained were tabulated, described and analysed. The results have confirmed our hypothesis:third year students of English could not write science and technology objectively unless they are exposed to E.S.T texts. So we conclude to say that our hypothesis was at a certain extent confirmed. Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Tags : Language Sciences TECHNOLOGY EFL CLASS Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : It is well known that technology has been integrated into the educational system since years, and it has different influences in language classrooms. This dissertation seeks to explore the importance of using technology in today’s EFL classes. Thus, it suggests that technology plays a great role in enhancing teaching English as a foreign language. The study is an investigation about the availability and the extent of using new technologies in Abbes Laghrour University, English Department. Two means of research are used: a classroom observation and two questionnaires, one is designed for teachers and the other for students. The observation findings reveal that there is a wide range of tools that are available and used by teachers; this is confirmed by the results of both the teachers’ and the students’ questionnaires. The findings of the investigation consolidate the effectiveness of using technology in enhancing the teaching/learning process. Titre : Enhancing students technical vocabulary via multimedia e-learning : The case of master one students of english applied language studies at constantine 1 university Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Abdelkarim Rahmouni, Auteur ; Bilel Fadhel, Auteur ; Riad Belouahem, Directeur de thèse Editeur : CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine Année de publication : 2013 Importance : 72 f. Format : 30 cm. Note générale : Une copie électronique PDF disponible en BUC. Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Tags : Applied Language Studies multimedia E-learning technology vocabulary Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : The present study is conducted to investigate the role of multimedia E-learning
enhancing English for science and technology for Master One Students of English Applied
Language. This work examines English vocabulary for science and technology to be the main
difficulty for students when analyzing scientific texts, precisely when facing problems with
enhancing and comprehending technical vocabulary during English for science and
technology classes. The study also aims to reconsider the students’ needs of EST technical
vocabulary when reading EST texts. This is expected to help them gain benefits by enhancing
technical repertoire in the realm of their needs and motivations, whether learning or working.
Therefore, the study hypothesizes that if students of Master One Applied Language use
multimedia E-learning, they would better enhance the needed technical vocabulary. In an
attempt to do so, a sample of 20 Master One Learners from the Department of English was
randomly taken. Meanwhile, a questionnaire and a test are used as means to gather
information. The obtained results show that multimedia E-learning can really improve and
enhance the needed technical vocabularyDiplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=6779 Enhancing students technical vocabulary via multimedia e-learning : The case of master one students of english applied language studies at constantine 1 university [texte imprimé] / Abdelkarim Rahmouni, Auteur ; Bilel Fadhel, Auteur ; Riad Belouahem, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2013 . - 72 f. ; 30 cm.
